Democratic Club kicks off in Costa Mesa

Share

For the nearly 15,000 registered Democrats in Costa Mesa, there’s a new group.

The Costa Mesa Democratic Club, which officially formed at the end of June, is having a kickoff party Tuesday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Creative Outlet Studios, 2035 Placentia Ave., behind the Carpet Land.

Amber Davidson was elected as the club president. Caroline McNabb is vice president, Greg Ridge is secretary and Liz McNabb is treasurer.

“The group is intended to lend a strong, dynamic democratic voice to the political landscape here in our city,” said Davidson in a prepared statement.

Meetings will be held monthly on the fourth Tuesday at the studios.

Members must be registered Democrats and can live anywhere in Orange County, not just Costa Mesa. Annual dues are $20.

The club meetings will be open to all interested parties, however, McNabb said.
