Responders rescued a driver this weekend after her car went into a ravine in Newport Coast, officials said.

Newport Beach police received a call about 9:20 p.m. Saturday from the driver who said she had lost control of her car near South Pelican Hill Road and Pelican Hill Circle, said Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Manzella.

The Honda Accord went into a ravine near the intersection, Manzella said. The driver was stuck in her vehicle and unable to open the door.
