Tax prep session at college

Irvine Valley College will host a free income tax preparation session Saturday.

People or families can get help putting together their taxes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Business Sciences Technology and Innovation Center on campus at 5500 Irvine Center Dr.

Anyone who wants help should bring ID, income statements and copies of 2013 tax returns.

The event kicks off a string of help sessions throughout Orange County offering free advice for taxpayers.

Board of Equalization Vice Chair Michelle Steel, Orange County United Way, and Irvine Valley College are sponsoring the events.
