Plaza party at Segerstrom Center celebrates Dia de los Reyes

Crowds were treated to music, crafts and a parade in Costa Mesa on Saturday during a free event marking Dia de los Reyes, the day the three wise men gave gifts to baby Jesus.

The celebration, also called Epiphany or Three Kings Day, was held in the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

The event also included a family photo booth, storytelling, a raffle with child-friendly prizes, food trucks and the traditional rosca de reyes, or kings’ cake.
