Sherman Library & Gardens twinkles with ‘1,000 Lights’

Share

The sixth annual “Nights of 1,000 Lights” are glowing at Sherman Library & Gardens in Corona del Mar.

The evening display of the lush gardens illuminated for Christmas started last week and continues on select nights through Dec. 22, featuring botanical scenes themed to Elvis Presley’s “Blue Christmas,” a disco “inferno,” a Gingerbread Land and a Scandinavian Christmas with gnomes and traditional julehjerter ornaments. Also, there’s a selfie-friendly light tunnel, Santa Claus and his workshop, complimentary hot drinks, a s’mores station and a bonfire.

The popular event is running from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday and next Thursday through Dec. 22 but is sold out on several dates. As of Friday, tickets were still available for Dec. 20 and 21.
