Surf City was represented on “Jeopardy!” on Tuesday night.

John Klass, a logistics manager from Huntington Beach, appeared on Tuesday’s edition of the long-running game show.

Klass finished in third place with $3,000. He answered eight questions correctly, and three incorrectly.

“It was definitely a bucket list moment for my life,” Klass said in a phone interview Wednesday. “But it also was very fast. It was a blur.”

Klass did get the Final Jeopardy answer of Beatrix Potter correct. The question was, “A book by her says, “It is said that the effect of eating too much lettuce is ‘soporific’ … but then I am not a rabbit.”

Klass was unable to derail the Matt Amodio train. Amodio, a Ph.D student from Connecticut, won Tuesday’s show with $36,200. His 25-day total is $893,201, ranking third in the show’s all-time annals of winnings in regular play behind only Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer.

“When I saw I was going up against Matt, I was like, ‘Man, this is going to be difficult,’” Klass said. “Going up against one of the top three guys is a little daunting, but overall it was great experience.”
