Boys and girls cross country: Sage Hill swept

The Sage Hill High boys and girls cross country teams each lost a

pair of meets, including one official Academy League duel against Calvary

Chapel of Downey Tuesday at El Dorado Park in Long Beach.

The boys were bested, 18-47 by Calvary Chapel, as well as by Oxford

Academy, 21-35.

The Sage Hill girls were defeated by identical 15-50 scores by the

same two opponents.

Mike Voge was third overall to pace the Lightning boys, finishing the

three-mile course in 17:30.

Tristan Courdier (15th in 19:33), Matt Sanford (16th, 19:42), Chris

Chiboucas (17th, 19:52) and Kent Kuran (21st, 20:18) also scored for Sage

Hill in the 45-runner field.

The boys are now 3-4, 2-2 in league.

The Sage Hill girls (1-6, 0-4) were paced by Megan Curry (23rd,

25:31), Breeana Garrett (25th, 26:10) and Alis Brito (27th 26:22).
