Art workshops at Senior Center

The City of Laguna Beach Senior Services in collaboration with Laguna Outreach for Community Arts is sponsoring a series of free workshops. Lunch is included; a $3.50 donation is suggested for lunch.

The schedule is:

  • Printmaking Techniques, Mada Leach, instructor
  • Wednesday, April 4

    11:30 a.m. — Lunch

    Noon-1:30 p.m.— Workshop

  • Watercolor Techniques, Gayle Foley, instructor
  • Wednesday, April 18

    11:30 a.m. — Lunch

    Noon to 1:30 p.m. — Workshop

  • Picnic & Art at Heisler Park -- The Art of Journaling, instructor to be announced
  • Wednesday, May 2

    10 a.m. — Workshop

    11:30 — Picnic in the park

    Campaign breakfast at Aliso Creek Inn

    Laguna Beach Seniors, Inc. is planning a Capital Campaign Breakfast from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Aliso Creek Inn.

    Speakers will include: Lee Andersen, Laguna Beach Seniors, Inc. president; Kent Russell, the donor of the senior center fireplace; and board members Chris and Ann Quilter, and Darrcy Loveland Bickel. Terri Johnson will be master of ceremonies.

    Applications are being accepted until April 1 for those interested in filling the position of executive director for Laguna Beach Seniors, Inc.

    The seniors group is a small nonprofit organization with a $160,000 budget.
