Round-table talk planned

All parents interested in learning ways to ground their children in faith are invited to hear Kara Powell, director of Youth/Family Ministries at Fuller Theological Seminary, who will talk about Sticky Faith, developing faith that will last a lifetime.

Powell will speak from 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday, in the Laguna Presbyterian Church Parlor, 415 Forest Ave. For more information call the church office Monday through Friday at (949) 494-7555.

Grieving during the holidays

Jackie Pearson, a marriage and family counselor, will offer practical steps to bring relief and comfort to those dealing with grief during this holiday season at Laguna Presbyterian Church.

The meeting will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the church, 415 Forest Ave. The community is welcome and admission is free.

Dads Group to meet Nov. 17

The Dads Group will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Nov. 17, in the Laguna Presbyterian Church’s Blue House, on Third Street behind the church sanctuary.

Dads will continue the discussion from Sunday’s parents roundtable on how we can help the faith of our sons and daughters “stick.” All dads are welcome.

Thanksgiving help for Marines

Laguna Presbyterian Church is helping San Clemente Marines and their families have a happy Thanksgiving.

On Sunday and Nov. 15, the church is collecting money to give to the San Clemente Military Organization to buy food for the families’ Thanksgiving dinners.

All of the donations go for this cause. The cart for collecting will be on the grassy knoll at the church, 415 Forest Ave.
