Charlotte W. Moore passed away Aug. 10, 2010, after a brief illness. Charlotte was born Jan. 14, 1925, in Comanche, Okla., to Herbert E. and Vesta L. Wrinkle.

Charlotte married Donald L. Brawner in December 1949. From that union her children James, Richard and Elizabeth were born.

In June 1971, Charlotte married her soul mate and love of her life, Thomas D. Moore at the Boston Avenue Methodist Church in Tulsa, Okla. Charlotte and Tom made Laguna Beach their home and spent the rest of their lives there.

Charlotte’s career was in teaching and she taught English and home economics at the Laguna Beach High School for many years before retiring in June 1987.

Charlotte loved to travel. Tom was an engineer with Hughes Aircraft, and worked on numerous overseas assignments. Charlotte would often visit Tom while he was on these assignments, spending as much time with him as circumstances would permit.

Charlotte and Tom were completely devoted to each other. They loved family and family gatherings were always special. Their many pastimes included travel, tennis and golf.

After Tom’s death in November 2007, Charlotte continued to enjoy many of her favorite activities. She loved golf and enjoyed theater. She loved Sunday brunch at the tennis club and the monthly luncheons of the “Birthday Girls.”

Charlotte was a gracious and loving wife and mother. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jim and his wife, Kendra, Richard and his wife, Elizabeth, and Beth and her husband, Bob, and by Tom’s children and their spouses, Mike Moore and his wife, Patty, Blake Moore and his wife, Shawn, and Todd Moore and his wife, Sally. Also surviving are her sister Gerry Pugsley of Oklahoma City as well as 15 grandchildren.
