Continental’s JWA Hawaii service halted for now

Share

Starting Tuesday, Continental Airlines will put its service between John Wayne Airport and Hawaii on hold as the carrier adjusts its schedules to meet seasonal passenger demand, said Jenny Wedge, a spokeswoman for the airport.

The airline, which began daily direct flights from Orange County to Honolulu and Maui earlier this year, won’t fly to Honolulu again until Nov. 20 and Maui until Dec. 16. Once Continental resumes service, the Honolulu flights will be daily and the Maui flights will run at least three times per week.
