A body found in Newport Harbor's Rhine Channel on Sunday morning has been confirmed as the missing UC Riverside student last seen at a Newport Beach restaurant one weeks ago, authorities confirmed.

The body of Alan Sun-Long Lin, 22, was found floating about 7:15 a.m. south of Lido Park Drive by local residents, said Newport Beach Police Sgt. Steve Burdette.

The body looked like it had been in the water for some time, Burdette said. There were no signs of foul play.

Lin was last seen leaving Rudy's Pub and Grill, 3110 Newport Blvd., about 1 a.m. Feb. 5. He was seen leaving the restaurant alone and was reported missing by family.

The Orange County Sheriff-Coroner will perform the autopsy Monday.
