Born March 1st 1929 Mankato, Minnesota, died with family February 14th 2001. Obtained BA in Economics from Occidental College. U.S. Marine during the Korean War. Began boat trailer production and sales co. Worked on development of home kidney dialysis machine. Xerox hired him to develop original copiers and sales. Transferred to Rochester NY. Returned to Balboa Peninsula 1968. Moved into Aircraft fasteners requiring he and his new wife Mary to travel the world to meet buyers from the largest aircraft builders.
As wife Mary elevated herself in her field as a renowned interior designer Pat began supporting her efforts and saw a need to become a contractor. He studied and passed his exam and got right into the work. Although Pat had a bout with rickets as a boy he became a respectable tennis player at his place in Deep Canyon Palm Desert but his favorite matches were with women’s doubles. He was an accomplished sailor with bare boat charters to BVI and he always had his hand on a sailboat of some sort.
Pat fought to the end as any hard core Marine until he had no more bullets and left a crowded room at 6:15 pm Valentine’s day. A fitting end for a man who loved women,the Marine Corps. and his family. He is survived by his wife Mary and her 2 two children Beth and Todd and wife Valeria. He is also survived by his 3 sons and their wives Ken and Bonnie, Pete and Beth, Tom and Kelly grandchildren Becky, Ben,Kelsey, Jessica, Natalie and Bobby.
Memorial will be March 1, 2011 at 11am at the American Legion Post 291 (Balboa).
