A Costa Mesa was convicted and sentenced Monday to a year in jail for exposing himself to young girls near two high schools, prosecutors said.

On four instances, between Oct. 3 and Dec. 6, Alfredo Landaverde, 48, exposed himself near Valley High School and Godinez Fundamental High School, both in Santa Ana, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office.

Landaverde would approach a group of girls ages 14 to 17 while still in his minivan and expose his penis, according to prosecutors.
