Miracles for Kids offers local Surf & Paddle Summer Camps

Miracles for Kids, a Tustin-based nonprofit serving children with life-threatening illnesses and the families who care for them, is offering its annual Surf & Paddle Summer Camps.

The sessions provide surfing or stand-up paddleboard activities led by instructors from the nonprofit Waves of Impact.

A surf camp was held Friday at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach, an SUP camp is scheduled for Aug. 2 at the Newport Aquatic Center in Newport Beach and a surf camp is set for Aug. 10 at the Newport Pier.

Lunch and transportation from Children’s Hospital of Orange County are included with each camp. The camps are open to outpatients and their siblings of all skill levels, ages 5-18. Parents and other family members can attend.

The sessions typically run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
