AYSO Rockets tally season’s inaugural win

The AYSO Region 97 girls under-10 Red Rockets defeated the Blue
Monkeys, 7-1, for their first win of the season. Goalie Emily
Bernstein led the defense in goal while Kailen Locke, Livvie
Muskatello, Andria Spears and Savannah Vrbas also contributed
defensively.
Gigi Light, Madison Mastera, McKenna Johnson, Ellisia Schilling,
Jenna Jarvis and Kellie Melendres contributed on both ends of the
field.
In boys under-13 play:
* Newport-Mesa Infinity
The Newport-Mesa Infinity scored five goals in two games but came
away winless, losing, 2-1, and tying, 4-4. Dillan Freiberg, Shane
Rocco, Rodri Ruvalcaba, Cameron Conway, Erickson Klein, Gavin
Arblaster, Juan Gonzalez, Raymundo Sollano, Sean Donahue, Sean Davis,
Simon Hedrick, Zac Chocek and Jesse Perez led the Infinity in the two
games.
In a game the previous week, Newport-Mesa battled CFC Newcastle to
a 3-3 tie, as Gonzalez scored three goals. Jesse Perez, Ruvalcaba,
Zac Chocek and Erickson Klein and Sollano led the Infinity.
In girls under-12 play:
* Newport 4, Costa Mesa 1
Beth Barnard, Lauren D’Ippolito and Morgan Williams scored goals
while Kathryn Zimmermann, Ava Nelson, Chelsea Barth and Sophia Evans
made key passes for Newport. The defense was led by Courtney
McIntosh, Brianna Truxton, Kelly Rorden an Christie Ohlhaver.
In girls under-11 play:
* Newport 3, Costa Mesa 1
Newport received goals from Josie Jogwe, Nicole Dinatale and
Shaneay Fischer while Natalie Duthoy, Ali Hayes and Delaney Bell led
the defense.
In boys under-10 play:
* Unknowns, Supersonics
Chaz Beek scored three times and Charlie Crook added one goal in
the Unknowns’ game against the Supersonics. Andrew Chearer, Tanner
Barrett, Will Crook and Danile Shokrollahi led the offense, while
Cameron Hall, Kevin Oswalt and Grant Moore shored up the defense.
In girls under-10 play:
* Silver Bullets 5, Sunset 3
Page Keys, Bailey Davidson, Dillon Alexander, Brenda Garcia and
Sammy De Feo led the offensive charge while Bailey Davidson led the
defense in the Silver Bullets’ 5-3 victory.
In boys under-8 play:
* Fireball Blasters, Dragon Hunters
Fireball Blasters were led by Cooper Hendrix, Sargis Srapvan,
Joshua Kramer and Ea Olotoa on offense, and Nicholas Carey, Brandt
Walton and Cade Walton on defense.
In girls under-8 play:
* Purple Fire, Green Shamrocks
Purple Fire was led by Kaitlyn Hebert and Natalie Ward with goals,
while Kate Hefner, Lindzy Konrad, Gigi Wood, Goby Findlay, Kara
Carlson, Katie Conway and Michelle Dunch all contributed.
* Purple Fire, Red Ladybugs
Kaitlyn Hebert scored late in the second half on a pass from
Natalie Ward. Lindzy Konrad, Gigi Woodall, Gaby Findlay, Katie Conway
and Michelle Dunchus contributed key plays for Purple Fire.
In girls under-6 play:
* Green Lightning, Pink Pandas
Erika Ellis and Destry Comp scored twice for the Green Lightning,
while Paula Padrani, Nicole Sanchez and Riley De Castroverde made key
plays.
* Green Lightning, Silver Ponies
Erika Ellis scored a hat trick, Paula Pedrani scored two goals and
Lauren Henke tallied her first gaol while Caroline Wilkes contributed
a key pass in the Green Lightning’s game against the Silver Ponies.
In girls under-5 play:
* Red Ladybugs, Pink Butterflies
Claire Covina, Chloe Rettig, Emma Botros and Paxton Bryant led the
Ladybugs while Presley Fait, Annalysa Cowie, Sarah Graham and Pailani
Ledbetter led the Butterflies.
