Sign up for free tax preparation help

The Susi Q Senior Center is offering free tax preparation to the community beginning this week. IRS-trained volunteers will be available to give basic tax help to those with middle to low incomes who file simple tax returns, with special attention given to seniors 60 and older.

AARP’s tax-aide volunteers are trained to assist with filing the 1040 form and the more standard of the schedules, including Schedules A and B. Taxpayers with complex tax returns are advised to seek paid tax assistance. All returns will be filed electronically with no charge to the taxpayer.
