Huntington Beach man arrested in Red Door investigation

A Huntington Beach man, along with 17 others, was arrested Sept. 22 for allegedly trafficking drugs and charging foreigners money to marry Americans for green cards.

Tony Tuan Dam, 22, was arrested as part of an investigation of the San Gabriel Valley-based gang Red Door, according to the Department of Justice. He is accused of selling Ecstasy to another defendant.

Officials arrested the 18 members and are searching for two more indicted by a federal grand jury for charges ranging from selling Ecstasy and growing marijuana to marrying nonresidents to American women for tens of thousands of dollars.

Officials have been investigating the gang, which they called Operation Paint It Black, for two years and uncovered more than 12,500 Ecstasy pills, 2,230 marijuana plants, seven firearms and a Lamborghini.
