| Relay for Life of Laguna Beach |

Relay for Life of Laguna Beach will begin with an opening ceremony at 6 p.m. August 22 and continue for 24 hours continuously, to 6 p.m. August 23 at El Morro Elementary School.
People are welcome to register the day of the event or just come and enjoy the fun. There are plenty of things for people of all ages to enjoy. We are asking the community to come together for 24 hours to celebrate, remember, and fight back against the diseases that have impacted the lives of so many of us.
Set-up times for teams is 3 p.m. on Friday, August 22.
Parking: Teams and participants will be able to drive up to the field to unload supplies only. Parking will not be allowed on the field-level blacktop. Limited parking is available below the field and across the street at the state park. Teams and participants are urged to carpool.
A Relay for Life free trolley service will be available from the Laguna Beach School District parking lot to El Morro Elementary School on Friday, August 22 from 5 to 11p.m. (see attached press release)
Registration: begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, August 22
Opening Ceremony: The festivities will begin at 6:00pm sharp on Friday
Survivor Lap: all cancer survivors are welcome to walk in the survivor lap (the first lap of Relay), which will begin immediately following the opening ceremony at 6 p.m.
Luminaria Ceremony: the ceremony will take place at 9 p.m. on Friday night and will celebrate and honor the lives of past and present cancer patients. Luminaria are available for a purchase of $10 and may be purchased at the actual event.
Kids Camp: the camp will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday night and will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. There will be food, crafts, a bounce house and more for kids to enjoy.
Saturday BBQ: A BBQ lunch will take place Saturday afternoon from about 11 a.m. to 2p.m. People will be asked to make a $5 donation.
Music: There will be several music acts/bands/performers throughout the 24 hours.
