GM recalls new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra to fix seats

General Motors Co. is recalling about 19,000 of its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Series 1500 full-size pickup trucks to fix a problem with the front seat.

Trucks sold with manual front seat reclining seatbacks might fail to meet a federal safety requirement if struck from behind.

GM said does not know of any crashes or injuries resulting from the problem.

GM dealers will inspect the seatbacks and make adjustments if necessary under new vehicle warranty.
