Best “cost-of-ownership” category winners
While car dealerships have been offering discounts on big pickups and sport utility vehicles for a while, they’ve recently started to show rebates on smaller rides. A leading source of automotive cost analysis, IntelliChoice.com, announced its “Best Deals of the Month” for June 2008 for all cars, pickups and SUVs.
Evaluating new vehicles with the best ownership cost value in 33 respective classes, IntelliChoice based its decisions on “current car pricing, market conditions and the lowest national manufacturer consumer new car rebate,” as well as “what it costs to buy, own and operate each new model-year trim line over a five-year basis.”
