This car was exported to the U.S. and does not appear to have a race record. It was first used as the personal drive of Frank Rand, a Chicago-based VW and Porsche dealer. It then passed through the hands of a number of collectors. Porsche built 100 of these cars, but most were damaged or modified on the racing circuit.
