Apple reportedly will upgrade next-generation Watch in March

Share

The Apple rumor mill is churning especially early, with a report saying the company will hold an event in March to unveil the second-generation Apple Watch.

Tech blog 9to5Mac, citing unnamed sources, said the new watch could go on sale in April, about a year after the first Apple Watch was released.

“Apple has been working on [a] new camera, wireless, sleep tracking and health sensor technologies for the wearable device, but it is currently unclear which of these additions will appear on the model planned to be introduced in March,” the report said.

And in a break from its usual September date, Apple might also have some iPhone news to share. The blog said the Cupertino, Calif., company is working on a 4-inch iPhone 6c that might debut at the March event.

Apple did not immediately return a request for comment.
