Design patents for an upcoming Samsung smartwatch were recently discovered in South Korea, and now, a British website has used the filings to conjure up renderings of what the device could look like.

The patent images for the smartwatch, which may be called the Galaxy Gear, show a flexible display as well as a wrist strap that could possibly be removable.

The illustrations by Voucher Codes Pro, an online coupon clipping service, incorporate the flexible screen, which could possibly display a simplified version of Android. Rumors also say the Samsung smartwatch may be able to sync with smartphones.

The designs by Voucher Codes Pro also incorporate the removable strap. The website said Samsung could sell the removable strap in various colors to allow users to personalize their watches.

Samsung has confirmed it is working on a smartwatch, but has not said when the device may be unveiled and whether it will look like the recently uncovered patents or not.
