Just how tall do the record-breaking 16 Tony nominations racked up by "Hamilton" on Tuesday stand up in Broadway history? Here's a rundown of a dozen other productions with the most Tony nominations, according to the American Theatre Wing:

"The Producers" (2001), 12 wins. Sweeps every category in which it is nominated.

"Billy Elliot: The Musical" (2009), 10 wins. Martin Koch's victory for orchestrations is a rare Tonys tie (with Michael Starobin and Tom Kitt for "Next to Normal").

"The Book of Mormon" (2011), nine wins. The high trophy count comes despite a loss by Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad in the actor category. (Winner: Norbert Leo Butz for "Catch Me if You Can.")

"Company" (1971), six wins. "The Rothchilds" and "No, No Nanette" sweep the acting categories, but Stephen Sondheim and Harold Prince win for their score, lyrics and direction.

"Spamalot" (2005), three wins. Sara Ramirez wins featured actress, but Eric Idle, Tim Curry and Hank Azaria all lose.

"Dreamgirls" (1982), six wins. Loses best musical to "Nine."

"The Drowsy Chaperone" (2006), five wins. Loses top prize to "Jersey Boys."

"Hairspray" (2003), eight wins. Harvey Fierstein, Marissa Jaret Winokur and Dick Latessa lead a near-sweep of the musical acting categories.

"Kinky Boots" (2013), six wins. Takes best musical over "Matilda," "A Christmas Story" and "Bring It On."

"Ragtime" (1998), four wins. "The Lion King," with 11 nominations, takes home six awards, including best musical.
