Maryland residents on reality TV [Pictures]
Maryland might be a small state, but folks from here seem to crop up on reality television at an almost alarming rate. Chefs battle it out on "Top Chef," Baltimore School for the Arts graduates show up on "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Project Runway," and area singers try to win a record deal on "American Idol." Jamile McGee, who lived in Maryland when he auditioned for "So You Think You Can Dance," placed third on the first season of the dance competition. He stated on the show that he had suffered from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and that doctors had told his mother he would be wheelchair-bound, but he fought back and became a dancer.
***McGee has enjoyed a successful career as a dancer and choreographer since finishing third during the first season of "So You Think You Can Dance."
