The Philip DeFranco Show( Al Seib / Los Angeles Times )
Philip DeFranco delivers his lines to his camera during a run-through Aug. 21 in the simple studio of his Woodland Hills production offices where he records his show as host of the "The Philip DeFranco Show," a news program on YouTube about news and pop culture. The show rivals Jon Stewart's "The Daily Show" in audience size. As the news anchor, DeFranco wears T-shirts instead of the standard-issue suit-and-tie, and the anchor desk has been replaced with a red futon decorated with stuffed characters.
