American Music Awards 2014: Watch red-carpet action live

Share

Hours before host Pitbull kicks off the 2014 American Music Awards, the stars will be feeling the moment on the red carpet -- and you can watch the action streaming live, above, starting at 2 p.m. PST Sunday.

Lance Bass, Jordin Sparks, Frankie Grande, Gavin DeGraw, Kandi Burruss, Morgan Stewart, Ted Stryker and Chelsea Briggs are cohosts of the "Coca-Cola Red Carpet LIVE! @ The 2014 AMAs" pre-show, which in addition to arrivals will include live performances by up-and-coming artists R5, Mary Lambert, Ella Henderson, Katy Tiz and Becky G.

Bass was already joking around on his WhoSay account in the hours before the show with a "sighting" of One Direction -- or at least the peeps who were holding the guys' places on the red carpet. Harry Styles, have you changed your hair?

Taylor Swift, One Direction, Lorde, Fergie, Ariana Grande, Garth Brooks, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne are among those slated to perform during the AMAs, with Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea rocking their tune "Booty" as well.

Azalea, incidentally, is the year's most nominated artist, up for a half-dozen awards including artist of the year, new artist and single of the year. John Legend, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams have five nominations each, and Lorde has four. Remember, fan votes decide the winners.

The awards show proper starts at 5 p.m. at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, but won't be broadcast on the West Coast until 8 p.m. on ABC.
