David Cassidy, onetime teen dream and “The Partridge Family” star, was arrested Wednesday morning just after midnight in upstate New York on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Cassidy, 63, was initially pulled over for driving with his high beams on, TMZ reported, and officers administered a field sobriety test after smelling alcohol. The actor-singer did poorly on the sobriety test and showed a blood alcohol level of 0.10 on a breath test, Schodack, N.Y., police told the website.

He was cuffed and jailed on a felony charge of driving while intoxicated — it’s not his first arrest of this nature — and then was released on $2,500 bail.

Cassidy was previously arrested on suspicion of DUI in Florida in 2010. After vowing to fight the charges, despite dash-cam footage showing him failing a field sobriety test and police finding an open bottle of bourbon in the car, he changed his mind and pleaded no contest in February 2011 to misdemeanor drunk driving and driving with an open container. When he was arrested, he blew a 0.14 on a breath test, police said. He lost his driving privileges for six months and was placed on a one-year probation.

In the New York case, Cassidy has a date with a judge on Sept. 4, according to ABC News.
