Playhouse, the long-delayed club inside the old Fox Theater on Hollywood Bouleveard, looks ready to debut by summer. Nacional hopes to morph into a live music club by the end of May called 45, according to a representative for the space. The bi-level bar on Wilcox Avenue aims to be “a home for rockers, celebs and music lovers to rub shoulders and listen to top-notch bands in an edgy-Hollywood, yet intimate setting,” per a statement released to the Times. Chris Breed is back in the mix at 1743 N Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood. Formerly White Lotus (pictured) and most recently Ritual, the large venue will soon become Halo after a light remodel. Essex promises an upscale pub-like experience when it opens in Hollywood this summer.
