‘Paper Towns’ trailer: Cara Delevingne is Nat Wolff’s ‘miracle’

With her striking features and trademark bushy eyebrows, British model Cara Delevingne has captivated the world of high fashion — so what chance does a mild-mannered suburban teenager have at resisting her charms?

Not much, at least according to the first trailer for “Paper Towns,” the second big-screen adaptation of a popular YA book by “The Fault in Our Stars” author John Green.

Set for release July 24 from Fox, “Paper Towns” stars 22-year-old Delevingne in her first major film role as Margo Roth Spiegelman, a beautiful but troubled high-school senior. Naturally, she’s pined for by her neighbor, the slightly dorky Quentin “Q” Jacobsen, played by “Fault’s” Nat Wolff, 20.

For Q, Margo is nothing short of “a miracle,” though the two have grown apart since childhood. Then one night she shows up in his bedroom window and recruits him for a spree of pranks, a shared experience he expects to change his life. It does, but not in the way he expected, as Margo vanishes the next morning, leaving Q to track her down.

“Margo always loved mysteries,” he says. “Maybe she loved them so much she became one.”

“Paper Towns” comes as something of a “Fault” reunion after that film broke out as a critical and commercial hit last June, grossing more than $300 million worldwide on a slim $12-million budget. Along with Green and Wolff, screenwriters Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber and producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are back.

New to the party is director Jake Schreier, who helmed the 2012 Sundance crowd pleaser “Robot & Frank.” Time will tell if the filmmakers can make “Towns” work on screen, not just on paper.
