'Saturday Night Live'( NBC / December 5, 2012 )
His characters: Buh-weet, Gumby, James Brown... and our favorite, Mr. Robinson
How mean? Mean in the best way possible. "SNL" was Murphy at his creative best. On "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood," the squeaky-voiced kids' would-be hero Mr. Robinson is flying solo -- "We're alone today, kids. Want to know why? My wife left me" -- and served papers by his landlord and greets the viewers: "Oooh look, an eviction notice brought by Mr. Landlord. Can you say, 'scumbucket'? That's our special word for the day, boys and girls. Do you know any scumbuckets? I bet you do." |
