Grant outwits Bond, covering his tracks so it appears his targets killed each other, and impersonating a British agent. Grant is also stronger than Bond, physically overcoming 007 on the Orient Express. In the end, Bond only escapes Grant by tricking him into opening a tear gas booby-trapped suitcase.
