<b>Why it failed/how they broke up:</b> Turns out that she was a spy sent to watch over him and possibly kill him if he ever regained his memories of being a double agent, effectively halting the relationship. Quaid had to kill Lori later as he defended another woman that she was about to kill. He ended it with a gunshot and a patented one-liner: "Consider this a divorce."
