David Letterman

( CBS )
A CBS employee attempted to extort $2 million from host David Letterman, threatening to expose the late night talk show host's previous affairs with various "Late Show" staffers.

Letterman admitted to the affairs on his show and a few days later addressed the national television audience again, apologizing to the staffers and most importantly, to his wife/previous long-term girlfriend Regina Lasko, for any hurt he caused.

"I got my work cut out for me," he said about making amends to his wife.
