Winners:

I think the guaranteed hits without question will be "Spider-Man," "Pirates," "Shrek," "Ratatouille," "Harry Potter" and "The Simpsons Movie" –- all these seem locks to pass $200 million with at least half of them likely to go beyond $300 million. Of the six, "The Simpsons" film is the only one that's unsure and no one knows what to expect in terms of its performance. Yet I get the impression there's a BIG interest out there, even with the show still running.

"Bourne" and "Ocean's 13" are also likely to sit very comfortably in the high $100 million bracket.

Losers:

Misses could be some of the big comedies. I can't see much of a huge interest out there for "Evan Almighty" or "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry," whilst I'd be utterly shocked if "Surf's Up" did anywhere near "Happy Feet" business.

Shockers:

Pleasant surprises I think could be "Stardust", a real "Princess Bride" for a new generation if it's pulled off correctly. One of the two Judd Apatow comedies – "Knocked Up" or "Superbad" might prove a sleeper hit, as might "Son of Rambow" if marketed correctly. "Mr. Brooks" sounds interesting but I'm afraid the marketing campaign has simply been too subtle for that already and may have missed the boat.
