The makers of Starz’s new drama “Boss” filmed in Chicago this spring and summer, using the city as more than just backdrop for their story of fictional Mayor Tom Kane (Kelsey Grammer) and his political intrigues. Director of photography Kasper Tuxen paints gorgeous images of the city, even when they are less than pristine. The Chicago Tribune tagged along on some of the filming days, and I’ve included those photos and behind-the-scenes photos from Starz in this gallery. “Boss” premieres at 9 p.m. Oct. 21 on Starz.
