Best and Worst: Mothers and daughters on screen

The HBO film “Grey Gardens” -- a fictionalized account of “Big Edie” (Jessica Lange) and “Little Edie” (Drew Barrymore) Beale, the subject of a famous 1970s documentary -- got us thinking about some of the best and worst mother-daughter combinations we’ve seen on screen.
