Kids consignment sale to offer toys, books, furniture, clothes and more
The L.A. Kids Consignment Sale returns to the San Fernando Valley this week, offering deals on used toys, books, furniture, children’s clothes, maternity clothes, bikes and more.
Organizers expect more than 600 family sellers and 100,000 items.
The public sale is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. (There’s a private pre-sale for consignors and volunteers on Wednesday.)
The sale will be in the former DSW space at Fallbrook Mall, 6621 Fallbrook Ave., West Hills.
Consignor spots are filled for the sale, but there’s still an opportunity to sign up as a seller for a smaller sale that is planned in Torrance at the end of May.

Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade celebrates BritWeek this weekend with special promotions; live performances by the Shakespeare Company, Inner City Shakespeare Ensemble, highland dancers, violinists, street artists and more from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. ShopWalk DTLA will offer special deals and promotions at shops, restaurants and other businesses in downtown Los Angeles. The event is from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday at numerous businesses. Check ShopWalkDTLA.com for a list of participants.
Tickets are on sale for Super Saturday, a day-long designer sale to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, actress Molly Sims and their families are to host the event, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 17 at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The event will also feature a full lunch buffet, auction, pet park for four-legged guests, a luxury raffle and more. Tickets are $250 for general admission, $100 for entry after 1 p.m., $50 for kids ages 6 to 16 years (kids under 6 free) and $20 per pup. Rebecca Minkoff handbags are up to 75% off retail during the biannual sample sale May 5-11 at the Rebecca Minkoff boutique, 4661 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 5; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 6-9; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 10 and noon to 6 p.m. May 11. No personal bags will be allowed inside the sale.
Openings
French fashion brand Zadig & Voltaire recently opened a new store at 3866 Cross Creek Road in Malibu. To celebrate, the store, which offers men’s, women’s and children’s apparel and accessories, is offering 20% off a first purchase and a free tote bag while supplies last through Sunday. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
