Etnies founder's Newport Beach residence: the ultimate skateboarder's place

Pierre Andre Senizergues surrounds himself with a cool vibe, warm color and, yes, furniture made with the decks and wheels that made him famous.

In the 1980s, long before Pierre Andre Senizergues founded the footwear and apparel company <a href="http://etnies.com/">Etnies</a>, he was a skateboarder in Venice Beach, living out of a Ford Econoline van. Moving up meant a Manhattan Beach surf shack where he paid $50 a month to crash behind a sofa. Now 45, Senizergues finds himself in different shoes: owner of a waterfront home in Newport Beach. “This is the first house I ever owned,” he says. “I wanted it to be me.”
