A touch of Midas

One trend in home glamour is the emergence of gilded pleasures with a neo-Victorian twist. Philippe Starck’s Hot Gun lighting collection for Flos is by far the most provocative. These new renditions of his 2005 design are injection-molded from aluminum and dipped in 18-karat gold. They’re topped with shroud-black shades lined with gold paper imprinted with crosses.
