"Anything old is always better," says Streisand, who has collected antiques and vintage decor pieces from many periods and has a preference for 18th century Americana and things from the late 1800s and the first decades of the 20th century.
She had a fling with Art Deco, the ornate geometric style of the Jazz Age, and collected light fixtures, including these vanity lamps, valued at $300 to $500, from the period.
"I built an Art Deco house in California," she says. "I decided to do it black to gray and rose to pink, and nobody looked good in it. You couldn't walk in that house wearing turquoise. The whole project took five years, and by the time I was done, I didn't like Art Deco anymore."
Barbra may be over Art Deco, but one buyer was willing to pay $1,500 for this trio.
