Katherine LaNasa's Venice house: Big Easy style in a little bungalow
Katherine LaNasa plays a deliciously hard-edged evil wife in the new TV series "Deception," but at home in her Venice bungalow, she showcases a soft side influenced by her native New Orleans. Here's a look at how she's turned a small house into a colorful, warm, funky retreat.

Floor-to-ceiling drapes covering the window and closet were meant to make the tiny bedroom feel like a sanctuary. The drapes were custom made for her former home in the Hollywood Hills; she cut them down in size for use in the Venice house. "It's an easy way to create luxury," she said of the switch from closet doors to drapes. Crystal fobs on the rods add a feminine touch.
LaNasa chose the Matera bed from Design Within Reach. It has three drawers on both sides for storage. The white coverlet is from Ikea. The pillows are from West Elm and Calypso St. Barth.
