Frustrated by the lack of simple dishes, glassware and table linens available for everyday use, Apartment Therapy’s Maxwell Ryan decided to design his own tableware collection for Canvas Home -- tabletop items that he says he will use in his own home.

The Maxwell Ryan Tableware Collection, which launched last week, will please minimalists with its contemporary take on traditional English creamware (popular English 18th century warm white glaze pottery). The collection includes dinner plates, salad plates, pasta bowls, cereal bowls, fruit bowls and an assortment of mugs.

Ryan says he wanted to create a line that would “complement every day living, yet could also be used for special occasions.”

Dishes come in gray and matte white with each piece decorated with a signature warm gray mark on the outside rim.

Pretty stemless glasses, inspired by a French set that Ryan once owned, are available in three different sizes for juice, wine and water. Vibrantly colored table linens from France in burgundy, salmon and beige colored linen, round out the understated collection.

Prices range from $8.50 for a small glass tumbler to $70 for a short table runner.

The Maxwell Ryan Tableware Collection is sold exclusively at Canvas Home.
