Tom Cruise of the “Mission: Impossible” film series has listed his 298-acre retreat in Telluride, Colo., for $59 million.

At the heart of the meadows and forestland is a nearly 10,000-square-foot mountain-view main house built by the actor in 1994, a 1,600-square-foot guest house and a sports court that can be used for tennis, basketball or hockey. Private trails crisscross the property, which adjoins a national forest.

A library, a recreation room, a gym, four bedroom and six bathrooms are among interior spaces in the lodge-like main house. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms in the detached guesthouse.

The interiors incorporate vaulted ceilings, bleached cedar timbers, dove-tail joints and local stone. Cedar and log siding, a metal roof and expansive walls of windows make up the exterior details.

Cruise, 52, has been a leading man staple in the film industry for decades. Among his memorable films are “Jerry Maguire” (1996), “Top Gun” (1986) and “Risky Business” (1983). This year he starred in the sci-fi action film “Edge of Tomorrow.” He will reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in “Mission: Impossible 5,” due out late next year.

He also owns property in the Los Angeles area.

Bill Fandel of Telluride Sotheby’s International Realty is the listing agent.
