A 30-year-old North Hollywood man whose body was wrapped in plastic and dumped near railroad tracks in Burbank last week died of multiple gunshot wounds, coroner’s officials said Monday.

On Thursday, Burbank police received a call from a person who had discovered the body in an open field behind the Stock Building Supply store, near two rusted train cars covered in graffiti.

The man’s body was covered in dark plastic, his bare feet exposed.

Los Angeles County coroner’s officials used fingerprints to identify the victim as Nshan Balyan.

It’s not clear when or where Balyan was killed. Investigators last week were reviewing surveillance footage collected in the area.
