Share

A Yucca Valley household that has endured weeks of someone leaving trash on their doorstep and randomly honking their car horn in the middle of the night saw the harassment worsen last week when someone rammed their vehicle into the home, authorities said Tuesday.

San Bernardino County sheriff’s officials said they are looking for the driver who on Friday steered a silver 2004 or 2005 Jeep Liberty up a driveway and rammed the home in the 5700 block of San Andreas Road.

The collision caused $3,000 to $5,000 in damage to the home, officials said. The bizarre incident followed weeks of someone driving onto the property in the middle of the night, honking several times and leaving trash at the front door.

On Friday, the assailant drove onto the property and left trash before driving away from the home then turning around to ram it.

Officials did not have an immediate description of the driver or what a motive for the incidents could be.
