House Speaker Nancy Pelosi delivers remarks during the opening ceremony of the United States Capitol Visitor Center in Washington on Tuesday. The 580,000-square-foot facility, which will accommodate 3 million visitors a year, is the largest addition to the U.S. Capitol in more than 140 years. Visitors to the Capitol building will be required to enter through the new underground center to pass through a security screening area that opens onto an exhibit hall.
