World Toe-Wrestling Championships, Derbyshire, England

It was devised more than 30 years ago as a sport Brits could win, but hopes were dashed when a Canadian won the first contest. Nonetheless, the British persevere. Contestants lie on their backs and put sole to sole and toe to toe. The goal is a “toe-down” within the confines of two mini-walls at the sides of the wrestling feet.
