From LAX, Air Tahiti Nui, Air France and Air New Zealand offer nonstop service to Papeete, Tahiti, embarkation and debarkation point for the Aranui. Restricted round-trip fares begin at $896.
About the Aranui
The Aranui 3, a passenger freighter, will make 11 more 16-day voyages from Papeete to the Marquesas Islands this year. The next departure is scheduled for Saturday. Dormitory accommodations with shared bath are $1,980 per person. A standard cabin begins at $3,500 per person, a deluxe at $4,200 per person and suites are $4,950 per person, double occupancy. Fares include all meals and shore excursions. Various fees and taxes add $285. Price does not include airfare.
